SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST Qualifications Wyoming State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology Master’s Level Degree Wyoming State Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology SALARY: $70,000 REPORTS TO: Special Education Director and Building Principals Job Goal To evaluate and provide intervention, and special services to students with language, speech, social communication, cognitive-communication, and/or hearing disorders. Performance Responsibilities Abide by district policies/procedures and other state and federal regulations concerning students with disabilities. Abide by professional code of ethics. Establish a screening program for speech/language services as appropriate (i.e., articulation and language new referrals and three-year comprehensive reassessments. Perform and interpret assessment procedures, techniques, and standardized tests necessary for thorough and accurate diagnosis in areas of speech and language to determine eligibility and appropriate recommendations. Make recommendations and referrals for related professional services. Formulate long-term and short-term instructional objectives to be included in a student’s IEP. Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the referral/diagnostic process. Design and implement building/therapy schedules. Attend IEP meetings as required. Provide appropriate direct/indirect therapy for identified students. Provide continuous evaluation and annual updating of IEPs. Maintain thorough student progress. Provide consulting services to parents, teachers, administrators, and colleagues. Manage the facilities, materials and equipment, including assistive technology, necessary to the delivery of services. Other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor. Maintain appropriate confidentiality when entrusted with personal information pertaining to students or staff members. Other Requirements Valid Driver's license and ability to travel to muliple district buildings.
