Immediate Speech-Language Pathologist

Position Overview KIPP Jacksonville seeks Speech‑Language Pathologists for K‑12 schools. The SLP works closely with certified ESE Learning Specialists to ensure compliance with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and provides one‑on‑one or small group instruction across multiple grade levels. The SLP is part of the school‑based team, creating a positive learning environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, building family relationships, collaborating with the team, and performing other duties as assigned by Principals. Relevant licensure or certification must be indicated. Key Duties Provide speech and language therapy services to students in groups and individually per their IEPs. Deliver intervention through response‑to‑intervention, including small groups and classroom instruction. Attend meetings and write progress summaries on present levels of performance and proposed IEP goals. Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected speech and language impairments. Develop individualized therapy programs to meet students’ needs and correct existing impairments. Maintain thorough records for each student receiving therapy or other school‑provided services. Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings. Carry out speech/language evaluations when necessary. Implement school‑wide student management policies in classrooms. Serve as a resource to staff for balanced oral communication and literacy development programs. Perform other duties assigned by Principals or the school.
