Overview:
Join a fast-growing engineering and automation organization supporting cutting-edge medical device, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing technologies. We are seeking a highly strategic sourcing professional to partner closely with engineering and operations teams to drive supplier strategy, cost optimization, and supply chain scalability for complex new product development programs.
This is a high-impact role where you will influence sourcing decisions early in the design cycle, develop strong global supplier partnerships, and help bring innovative products to market.
Job Duties:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for New Product Development (NPD/NPI) programs
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Project Management teams
- Influence design-for-manufacturability, cost reduction, and supplier selection strategies
- Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for precision components, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Negotiate supplier agreements balancing quality, innovation, delivery, and cost
- Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and lifecycle cost management
- Support supplier qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop scalable sourcing strategies while mitigating supply chain risk
- Serve as a key escalation point for supplier and procurement-related challenges
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience within:
- Medical Device
- Life Sciences
- Automation
- Precision Manufacturing
- Complex Engineered Products
- Strong experience supporting New Product Development (NPD/NPI) environments
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier qualification, and technical sourcing
- Proven negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or CPSM certifications preferred
- Experience with global sourcing strongly preferred
