Registered Nurse (RN) - Outpatient

Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cardiology & Interventional Radiology

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Generally 2 days in Cardiology, 3 days in Interventional Radiology.

Minimum: RN graduate; Preferred: BSN.

Minimum 2 years of RN experience with recent arrhythmia recognition/cardiology experience.

Experience with moderate sedation, treadmill and nuclear stress testing required.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS (both through AHA or RQI).

Preferred: ICU or Cardiology Nursing experience, moderate sedation competency, experience with Meditech.

Perform Treadmill, Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETTs), and Nuclear Stress Testing.

Conduct initial patient interviews and make preliminary assessments of test data.

Prepare study results for physician interpretation.

Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures; provide patient and family education.

Assist with monitoring of special procedures (e.g., stress-echo studies, tilt table studies).

Recognize emergency situations and respond according to policy/protocol.

Identify and interpret arrhythmias.

Perform conscious sedation as needed.
