Position Overview: As a Molder you willreport to the Mold and Core Supervisor inTacoma, Washington.You will beresponsible for making, finishing, and closing molds. Primary Responsibilities: Follow work instructions to build and assemble molds Close molds and ensure proper setup Operate arc welder and overhead cranes as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Report safety, quality, or maintenance concerns to supervisor promptly Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency Support safety, quality, and productivity initiatives and projects Experience: Previous experience in molding operations within a foundry environment preferred Previous manufacturing or labor experience Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Willingness to learn molding processes in a foundry environment Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and physically demanding conditions Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools Able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable attendance and good teamwork skills Physical Requirements: Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions Able to twist, stoop bend, and stand in the performance of job duties Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the work shift Must be able to climb ladders and stairs Must have good vision and depth perception Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including respirator Pay Range: $24.00 - $34.96 an hour (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm (flexible for OT on weekends) Why join our team at Vulcan Metals Corp?
