Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every other weekend and holiday | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and develop individualized care plans with thorough documentation
• Administer medications via a variety of routes and provide wound, line, and drain care
• Operate unit equipment including Epic EMR, Accudose Rx, Alaris IV pumps, and Philips vitals machines
• Float across multiple Med-Surg units and campuses within the Med-Surg cluster, including specialty units such as oncology, cardiac, neuro, trauma, observation, and medical behavioral
• Call in daily to confirm unit assignment prior to each shift
• Badge in and out at the facility for every shift; scrubs color required: Navy Blue

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota RN license or Compact state RN license required
• BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical experience in a large, fast-paced hospital (minimum 200+ beds)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience working within a Level 2 or higher trauma center
• Willingness to float within the Med-Surg cluster and between campuses
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous float pool or resource pool experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a hospital with 250+ beds
• Candidates with a primary background in Resource Pool or Float Pool may be considered even with limited travel experience
