Pharmacist in Morganton, NC

Seeking two skilled pharmacists to support a 150-bed community hospital in Western North Carolina. This role offers a balanced schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, with a mix of day and afternoon hours (approximately 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM). The position involves critical responsibilities in medication management and clinical pharmacy services within a fast-paced hospital environment.


Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Managing pharmacokinetics to optimize patient dosing
• Providing clinical consultation to physicians and nursing staff
• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication distribution and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with current credentials to practice in North Carolina
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in community hospital settings
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including afternoon shifts
