Laser OperatorWe are partnering with a growing custom sheet metal fabrication company in Hudson, NH to identify an experienced Laser Operator for a direct-hire opportunity in the Hudson, NH area. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing Amada Fiber Laser equipment to produce high-quality precision components for prototype and short-run production projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal fabrication, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to maintaining quality, efficiency, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Location: Hudson, NHSchedule: Full-TimeType: Direct HirePay: Competitive, based on experienceResponsibilities:Set up and operate Amada Fiber Laser equipment safely and efficiently.Adjust machine parameters to optimize cut quality, speed, and production performance.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.Perform first-piece inspections and monitor quality throughout production runs.Troubleshoot machine, material, and cutting issues as they arise.Maintain consistent quality standards in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.Work closely with programmers, estimators, and production personnel to meet customer requirements.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.Desired Background/Skills:Experience setting up and operating Amada Fiber Laser equipment preferred.Background in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).Experience using measuring and inspection tools, including calipers and micrometers.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.Reliable, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.Other Information:Direct-hire opportunity with a stable and growing manufacturer.Diverse work supporting custom, prototype, and short-run projects.Collaborative team environment.Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and continuous growth.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Interested candidates should have a passion for precision manufacturing and take pride in producing high-quality sheet metal components in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
