Product Demonstrator Part Time

Job Description The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Responsibilities The associate must proactively engage consumers, communicate product features and benefits, prepare and serve food samples using small appliances, maintain a clean and sterile workstation, set up event tables, achieve 100% execution on assigned work, assist with client visit preparations, build rapport with store personnel, complete expense reports, submit online requirements on the same day as event execution, navigate company systems, and access the internet using relevant tools. Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Ability to prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Properly set up and prepare Event Table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepare and submit all on-line requirements on the same day as Event execution. Ability to access the internet, navigate through company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and capability to view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves discretion to change the role based on business or client needs. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in using personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands: The associate will stand and walk during the shift, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance: The associate must maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming; specific dress code requirements are included in training documents. Language Skills: English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
