CNC Machinist - VTL Operator

Position Overview Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist – VTL Operator Location: Erlanger, KY Service Center (onsite) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45AM–3:15PM (optional weekend work) Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turret Lathes Read CNC programs and edit them to maximize efficiency and reduce errors Read and interpret engineered blue‑print drawings Apply geometric tolerances and set up inspection tools (inner/outer diameter micrometers, calipers, Pi‑tape, bore gauges, tri‑mic, thread gauges, etc.) Machine to tolerances of 0.0005”–0.005” Determine optimal machining feeds, speeds, and tool selections Work collaboratively with the team to ensure on‑time delivery to customers Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience (preferred) Experience with VTL that uses live tooling (plus) Knowledge of Fanuc controls (plus) Proficiency with shop math, trigonometry and geometry Ability to follow safety rules and wear PPE Strong problem‑solving skills in standardized situations Effective communication and teamwork skills Ownership and accountability mindset Comfortable working in a lean, fast‑paced environment Compensation & Benefits Pay: $36.00 per hour. Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
