Estimator - HVAC

Preconstruction Estimator - HVAC - Charlotte We are recruiting for an experienced HVAC Preconstruction Estimator in the Charlotte, NC area. The position is with a company that is experiencing great growth. Our client is a regional contractor that has the resources and support of multiple locations in the area. Project mix includes Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Multi‑family, and Industrial. The position needs to be filled immediately. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years with some combination of Estimating HVAC, Sheet Metal, or Plumbing. Additional experience in Mechanical Piping is strongly preferred. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Development of master budgets and cost models for HVAC projects Provide Hard Bid Estimates of projects Develop and maintain cost databases Review and comment on estimates provided by others Provide independent estimates of change orders Develop pre‑construction cost estimates Read and understand bid documents Requirements Solid communication both verbal and written. Ability to establish timelines and budgets. Ability to multi‑task. Solid proven and verifiable record of career stability and estimating success is a must. Individuals with ability to create conceptual bids for Design / Build projects will be strongly considered. Experience: 3 years experience as an HVAC Estimator. Must have solid computer skills. Someone with advanced computer estimating experience is highly preferred. The ability to work as a Project Manager is a plus. A college degree is required.
