Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment, Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy

Job Title

The role involves serving on institutional and hospital committees, attending meetings, and providing feedback. Opportunities may include coordinating stem cell transplant and cellular therapy infrastructure and organizing local and national meetings.

The position requires attending, participating in, and leading department teachings and continuing education conferences. It also involves keeping up with educational requirements and standards.

The primary focus is on patient care, practicing clinical medicine in accordance with standards set by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and the American College of Physicians. This includes providing thorough patient examinations, performing invasive procedures, managing patient-care provider teams, and maintaining clinical practice for referred patients.

The role also involves engaging in clinical research and scholarly activity to enhance the academic environment. This includes developing research programs, seeking funding, presenting findings, and earning recognition for research expertise.

Service to the department and field of Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy is expected, including representing the department in various matters, working in a multidisciplinary environment, and serving as a practitioner role model.
