Security Officer

- Provide a strong, professional visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and trespass
- Monitor access points to ensure only authorized individuals enter the property
- Conduct regular foot patrols and report safety hazards or suspicious activity
- Engage courteously with residents, shoppers, and congregation members, offering assistance as needed
- Respond calmly to incidents, complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs), and escalate to law enforcement when necessary
- Use de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, orderly environment
- Valid Ohio Security Officer License (or willingness/ability to obtain one)
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous security or customer-service experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Reliable, professional appearance and attitude
- Assignments vary by client site (shopping centers, apartment complexes, churches)
