JOB DESCRIPTION

Pay : $7.50/hour +Tips

Job Type: Part-time

Shifts : Early mornings, weekends and holidays may be needed

Essential Functions Statement(s)  

• Ensure setup is complete each morning for the breakfast buffet and fresh foods are always available during the service hours. 

• Greet guests warmly and seat them when necessary. 

• Take accurate orders, serve guests while they are in the dining area, and replenish as necessary. 

• Clean the service area, including the tables, chairs, and buffet as needed, Empty garbage if necessary. Clean tables in-between guests. 

• Remove plates and dishes from tables throughout the service using appropriate techniques for removing plates, glasses, and silverware promptly. 

• Provide customers with condiments upon request. 

• Address guest questions and requests promptly, courteously, and efficiently. 

• Follow health and safety protocols to clean and sanitize service lines, beverage dispensers, and other equipment. Transport clean and soiled linen as required. 

• Follow all Marriott brand standards of service. 

• Operate the electronic micros system (where applicable). 

• Each associate is expected to complete, within their ability, all reasonable requests by management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES  

Experience: 2 years’ experience in a restaurant preferred 

Other Requirements  

• Knowledge of kitchen appliances and tools, both their proper use and how to clean them. 

• Knowledge of proper food handling. 

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.  

• Ability to: perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Prioritize and organize. Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Follow directions thoroughly. Understand guest’s service needs. Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Work with minimal supervision. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
