Substitute Teachers

Job description Title: Substitute Teacher Reports to: Principal Job Goal A substitute teacher teaches students in the absence of their regular teacher. In cases where the regular teacher is not due for return for a considerable time, the school may require the substitute teacher to perform all the job responsibilities of the absent teacher. It is the responsibility of the substitute teacher to ensure an effective class environment and smooth flow of lessons for the students. A substitute teacher is responsible for providing a safe-learning environment that fosters academic excellence and spiritual growth in the Catholic faith; mind, body, and soul. Qualifications Must have strong commitment to Catholic education and model behavior aligned with St. Mary/McCormick Catholic Academy’s mission and values. Must have at least 60 semester hours of satisfactory credit (grade ‘C’ or better) combined from one or more regionally accredited two- or four-year colleges or universities.
