Accounting Analyst - OpExWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst - OpEx to join our Chalmette-based team. This role focuses on operational expense (OpEx) accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP experience and advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to analyze actuals versus budget and identify variances across 23 company codes in a logistics-focused business environment.Prepare and post journal entriesPerform account reconciliationsRun and analyze financial reports from SAPSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesAssist with budgeting and budget season preparationPerform quarterly and annual reportingAnalyze monthly actuals vs. budget; identify overages and shortfallsInvestigate coding discrepancies and reallocations across company codesProvide audit support, including pulling and organizing documentationConsolidate and manipulate financial data for reporting purposesSAP ECC (Primary requirement)Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data manipulation, reporting)EPM (SAP budgeting add-on; experience preferred but not required)Outlook, Teams, SharePointPowerPoint and Word (minimal use; Excel-heavy environment)Advanced Excel skillsStrong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
