Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Paducah, Kentucky.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/08/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 8, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position requiring RRT certification and BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications.Details\n \n Respiratory Therapy department in an acute care hospital setting\n Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 1730-0600\n 3 days per week, 36 hours per week\n Performs invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, medicated and non-medicated therapies\n Conducts arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, oximetry monitoring, and pulmonary function testing\n Responds to code blue and rapid response emergencies, including high-risk neonatal deliveries\n Requirements\n \n Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required, Bachelor's degree preferred\n Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC required\n BLS, ACLS required\n PALS required unless in Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) role\n NRP required for candidates working with neonatal population, not required in PFT role as determined by hiring manager\n State respiratory license required if applicable\n No prior experience required\n Additional Information\n \n Performs patient assessment, airway management, and provides education to patients and families on respiratory therapy and disease management\n Assists with advanced specialty procedures such as endotracheal tube insertion, arterial line placement, and bronchoscopy\n Completes diagnostic procedures including pulmonary function testing, EEG, and 12-lead EKG for specially trained therapists\n Documents patient care information in the medical record and communicates with care teams during shift report and transitions of care\n Participates in departmental quality improvement, safety initiatives, and equipment/supply management\n Attends departmental meetings, huddles, and in-services\n First-time travelers may be considered\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755479.
