Life Insurance Specialist Sales

Kay Riordan - State Farm Agency in Pembroke Pines, FL is seeking a motivated Life Insurance Specialist to help individuals and families protect the people and financial goals that matter most to them.

This is a full-time, in-office sales opportunity for someone who enjoys talking with people, understanding their needs and helping them make informed decisions about life insurance.

You don't have to be an insurance veteran to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone who is confident, driven and comfortable having meaningful conversations with customers about their financial protection needs.

The Opportunity

As our Life Insurance Specialist, you'll focus on developing life insurance business while building trusted relationships with customers.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Connect with prospective and existing customers about life insurance needs
• Conduct needs-based conversations to understand customers' financial protection goals
• Explain life insurance options in a clear and easy-to-understand way
• Develop leads and follow up consistently with prospective customers
• Schedule and conduct customer appointments
• Prepare quotes and assist customers through the application process
• Identify opportunities to introduce life insurance to existing State Farm customers
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential business
• Follow up with prospects throughout the sales process
• Develop long-term relationships with policyholders
• Work toward individual sales and production goals
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records
• Stay current on products, licensing requirements and industry developments

Who We're Looking For

The right person is people-oriented, motivated and comfortable with sales conversations. You should enjoy helping customers while also being driven to achieve measurable results.

Qualifications include:

• Life & Health insurance license
• Must have or be willing and able to obtain the required Florida insurance license
• Previous life insurance or financial services sales experience is a plus
• Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not required
• Sales experience in areas such as inside sales, outside sales, retail, banking, financial services or related fields is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening and relationship-building abilities
• Comfortable making outbound calls and following up with prospects
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Organized and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
• Professional and confident when speaking with customers
• Comfortable learning insurance products and technology
