RR Contracting LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Construction Superintendent for a Kansas City area project. This is a project-specific position expected to last approximately 8–9 months .

Position Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors and field crews, maintaining jobsite organization, supporting project schedules, enforcing safety expectations, and helping ensure the project is completed with quality, professionalism, and clear communication.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on construction knowledge, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and the ability to communicate effectively with project managers, operations leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and field team members.

Location and Project Duration

• This position is specific to the Kansas City area .
• This is an 8–9 month project-based position .
• The selected candidate must be able to reliably work on-site in the Kansas City area for the duration of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily jobsite activities and help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project expectations.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and jobsite logistics.
• Read, review, and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Identify potential conflicts, missing information, or field issues and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.
• Monitor project progress, quality of work, and completion of assigned tasks.
• Support schedule coordination and help keep the project moving forward.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
• Communicate clearly with subcontractors, field employees, project managers, and leadership.
• Document jobsite progress, issues, photos, daily logs, and important updates using Buildertrend or another RR-approved platform.
• Assist with punch-list items, warranty-related work, and project closeout as needed.
• Promote RR Contracting LLC’s values through professionalism, respect, accountability, and teamwork.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum OSHA 10 certification required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret construction drawings and project documents.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• 2–3+ years of construction experience preferred.
• Ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and manage daily field activity.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality control, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and adapt to changing project needs.
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
• Must be willing to use Buildertrend or another RR-approved platform for daily logs, photos, schedules, tasks, and communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Historical remodeling experience.
• Experience working on remodels, renovations, or complex construction projects.
• Experience managing multiple trades or subcontractors on an active jobsite.
• Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar construction management software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound field decisions.
