MCT Laboratory Technologist Trainee

Labcorp seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist Trainee for its Saint Paul facility to perform specimen processing, testing, and analysis in the hematology/coagulation department. Full training provided for recent graduates; evening shift with occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and prioritize specimens and test orders for appropriate processing
• Perform extractions and analysis on client, quality control, and proficiency samples per protocol
• Prepare laboratory reagents and standard solutions according to established procedures
• Evaluate data for accuracy, correct errors, and generate final reports with proper documentation
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; monitor quality control and maintain records

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical science, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
• Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work evening shifts and overtime as needed
• ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
• Prior clinical laboratory experience of 3+ months (preferred)

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
