Senior Perfusionist: Cardiac Bypass & Circulatory Support

Overview JOB PURPOSE: The safe and effective management of extra‑corporeal support for the purpose of surgical repairs to the heart and great vessels under the supervision of the Chief Perfusionist. Responsibilities Prepare for Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB). Function as a competent member of the cardiac team. Safely conduct CPB. Maintain clinical competency. Document CPB, QC and test results for ACT among various other records. Participate in equipment maintenance and materials management. Fulfill required annual clinical and/or hospital‑related competencies. Support Mechanical Circulatory devices, initiating and transporting from outside of the facility when necessary. Independently participate in education and precepting perfusion students and new employee orientation. Perform other duties as required that are within scope of practice and professional license. Qualifications Minimum Education Required: Graduate of an accredited perfusion program. Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of experience as a Perfusionist. Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law: American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certification and Georgia license required. Additional Qualifications: BLS required.
