Wine Sales Rep (Contract, Part-Time) - Denver, CO

Job Description:

Based in Colorado, Open Range is a small production winery crafting award-winning wines that capture the spirit of the American West. Our portfolio consists of two distinct collections: one made from grapes grown in Colorado's Grand Valley AVA, and a second line showcasing exceptional varietals out of Washington State's top growing regions. As we expand throughout CO, we're looking for a freelance sales rep to help us target the Denver market - a focused, relationship-driven role, not a high-volume grind.

What you'll do:
- New Placements: Pitch and secure opening orders with restaurants, wine shops, and retailers in the Denver area
- Account Support: Conduct light follow-up with existing and placed accounts to support reorders
- Feedback: Provide a bi-weekly check-in on outreach activity and buyer feedback
- Tastings: Staff education, distributor work-withs, and consumer tastings (not a core weekly requirement)

What we're looking for:
- Active on-premise and off-premise relationships in the Denver metro area (required).
- Experience selling wine or beverage alcohol (distributor, supplier, or broker background)
- Self-motivated, sales-oriented, and comfortable working independently on a flexible, part-time basis
- Reliable transportation
- Must be 21+
- RVP certified

Compensation:
- Monthly retainer, reflecting the part-time 1099 scope (~5 hrs/week)
- New account placement bonus; the primary way to earn on this role, so landing accounts pays off
- Paid tastings: flat fee per staff education, distributor work, or consumer tasting session 
- Pre-approved trade expenses reimbursed (samples, parking, etc.)
