Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position in Lansing, MI, requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and active MI licensure for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• 16-bed ICU within a Level III Trauma hospital
• Cares for critically ill patients ranging from adolescent to geriatric populations, including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgical diagnoses
• Experience with post-operative open-heart patients, CRRT, and IABP devices is preferred
• EMR: Cerner
• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week
• Every third weekend required
• On-call as needed
• May float to intermediate care areas when census is low

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience with both surgical and cardiac backgrounds required
• Michigan RN license must be active at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and delivering care to critically ill patients
• Supervises CNAs, SNAs, LPNs, and other assigned healthcare workers
• Experience with open-heart returns is preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred
• Candidates with a permanent address within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and are subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• Grey scrubs required
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for the contract
• Copies of all certifications must be provided for consideration
