Construction Laborer – Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dependable Construction Laborer to support daily operations on residential and commercial job sites. This role involves physical labor, assisting skilled trades, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and debris removal
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and building materials
- Operate basic hand tools and small power tools safely
- Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades as needed
- Set up and break down job site structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and temporary fencing
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and placing protective coverings
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‐free job site
- Complete additional tasks assigned by supervisors or foremen
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and job site safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous construction or outdoor labor experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with small equipment (skid loader, compactor, etc.)
- Familiarity with residential or commercial construction environments
