Overview Supplemental CT Technologist - P/T - Radiology Cat Scanner (Ben Taub Hospital) Join Harris Health as a Supplemental CT Technologist in Radiology at Ben Taub Hospital. This role provides patient care and technical expertise in operating CT equipment for diagnostic imaging purposes. Responsibilities Operate CT scanners and related equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Provide safe and compassionate patient care throughout imaging procedures. Ensure proper injection protocols when applicable and coordinate with radiology team for accurate exams. Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment and imaging software as needed. Adhere to safety, privacy, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., radiation safety, HIPAA). Qualifications Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Must be a graduate of a JRCERT accredited program. Certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Valid MRT license by Texas Medical Board (TMB) required. Current CPR certification. Work Experience: Two years experience preferred. Equipment Operated: CT Scanner, Injector, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment. Skills and Requirements Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Writing/Composing. Other Skills: Analytical, Medical Terms, Typing, PC, MS Word, MS Excel.
