The Senior Vice President, Compliance Officer is a senior leadership role responsible for providing regulatory guidance in addition to leading key components of the compliance function for Fortitude Re. This includes ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, developing and implementing compliance policies, and leading a team of compliance professionals. This will be a unique role where the SVP, Compliance Officer will lead the execution and operationalization of the enterprise compliance framework and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the broader compliance team. The SVP, Compliance Officer works closely with senior management, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to maintain a robust compliance framework and mitigate compliance risks. This position will report directly to the Managing Director, Chief Compliance Officer and operates with significant autonomy in executing compliance strategy.
What You Will Do:
Offer strategic regulatory and compliance counsel to business and functional partners including People and Culture practice with specific focus on crisis management and incident response, technology and cybersecurity matters, privacy and information security, third-party risk oversight, regulatory reporting and the governance of artificial intelligence.
Lead the execution and continuous improvement of the Companies' core compliance program including:

What You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in compliance, finance, accounting, business administration, law, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, JD) or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field within a regulated industry.
- Experience in the reinsurance or insurance industry preferred.
- Investigation expertise, including employment and labor law experience preferred.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
- Proven track record of managing interactions with regulatory bodies.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
Base Salary Range $225,000 — $260,000 USD
