The Mobile Custodial Supervisor will manage two independent cleaning teams responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of various retail stores. This role demands exceptional leadership, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure our high standards are consistently met.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of two independent cleaning teams.
- Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Address and resolve any performance issues or conflicts promptly.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of cleaned retail stores to ensure adherence to company standards and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement quality control measures and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and manage weekly cleaning schedules for both teams, ensuring efficient coverage of all assigned retail locations.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for teams and equipment.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Provide initial and ongoing training to team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment.
- Identify individual training needs and implement development plans to enhance team skills and performance.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with store managers and client representatives.
- Adress client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities over custodial team members
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year supervisory experience
- 2 years experience in commercial custodial services.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language preferred.
- Experience with disabled or disadvantaged populations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle unexpected situations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to use mobile devices and technology for communication, scheduling and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license with approved driving record, liability insurance and a reliable vehicle to travel for work related business.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both a climate controlled and non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds at times.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning such as walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying for duration of shift.
- Ability to work with various cleaning tools and equipment.
