Radiation Oncology Physician

Assignment Details

Compensation: $380/hr.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Full-time coverage

• No call required

Patient Population / Volume

• Patient Population: Adults

• Approximately 14 treatment patients per day

• Approximately 8 consultations per week

• Approximately 20 follow-up visits per week

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Radiation Oncology services

• Manage outpatient Radiation Oncology clinic

• Perform inpatient consultations as needed; inpatient consult volume is very low

• Participate in tumor boards

• Participate in chart rounds

• Evaluate and manage patients receiving radiation therapy

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology services

Required Procedures / Skills

• Radiation Oncology

• Lung SBRT

• Tumor board participation

• Chart rounds

• Outpatient consultations and follow-up care

• Inpatient consultation as needed

Practice Environment

• Comprehensive cancer center setting

• Hematology/Oncology services available onsite

• Infusion services available onsite

• Palliative medicine available onsite

• Hospital Size: Approximately 100 beds

Support Staff

• Oncology-certified RN

• Physician access assistant

• Dietitian

• Social worker

• Financial counselor

• 4 experienced radiation therapists

Requirements

• Board Certified OR Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology – Required

• Active Pennsylvania medical license OR IMLC LOQ – Required

• Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ must be in hand

• DEA – Required

• Minimum 1 year of experience – Required
