Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers in processing sales, loans, and other transactions involving jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Employees earn hourly wages plus commission based on productivity. Pay is determined by work location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to provide and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise. Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items following company procedures. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy‑back transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and using effective communication tools. Collaborates with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Completes assigned training. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage. Minimum age 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Basic math calculations proficiency. Candids with cash‑handling experience are preferred. Willingness to work flexible retail schedules, including weekends and holidays. Paid vacation: one week after six months of service, one additional week after one year, and two weeks for each subsequent anniversary (adjusted to state/local requirements). Commission Plan The commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2 – 8 % commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance.
