Key Responsibilities Perform all shift checklist responsibilities and reporting requirements. Be familiar with property, departments, hours of operation, and services of the hotel. Answer basic housekeeping-related questions. Assist team with training, supplies, and support to consistently provide quality guest rooms and public areas. Properly maintain hotel keys and electronic cards (key control). Clean and stock linen closets. Clean and vacuum hallways, including baseboards. Turn in all lost and found items in accordance with procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Dust light fixtures. Pick up dirty linen from housekeeping closets and dispose (throw down the chute). Strip rooms when needed and assist in picking up dirty linen. Sort terry and linen into laundry carts after coming down the linen chute. Put away supplies when received. Ensure all trash from guest room floors is placed in dumpsters. Run items to guest rooms, room attendants, and supervisor. Actively participate in housekeeping’s deep‑clean or preventive maintenance programs. Participate in all departmental meetings. Carpet clean guest rooms and hallways when needed. Participate in required training programs. Report any damage or hazard repairs to your immediate supervisor. Help keep stock levels at par and maintain cleanliness of linen closets on floors. Clean elevator tracks on all guest elevators. Perform all housekeeping duties as outlined in hotel‑specific training outlines and property‑specific checklists. Familiar with frequently used standard operations procedures. Know how to operate all housekeeping equipment. Recognize situations that require immediate supervisory attention. Create 100% guest satisfaction by delivering genuine hospitality and exceeding expectations. Provide personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service. Listen, apologize with empathy, find solutions, and follow through when resolving guest problems. Maintain a "Yes I Can!" attitude and genuine hospitality on an ongoing basis. Assume responsibility to notice when guests are not satisfied and use best judgment for appropriate actions. Perform other duties required to provide service brand behavior and genuine hospitality as directed by management. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of hospitality experience in housekeeping. Follows instructions and communicates effectively. Works well independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Commitment to exceptional guest service. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the hotel. Background checks and E‑Verify participation required. Physical Demands Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods. Lift, carry, or otherwise move items up to 75 lbs. Use manual dexterity with common office equipment (computers, printers, phones, etc.). Benefits Hourly wage: $16.50. Employee discounts on thousands of hotels. Free parking.
