Cleaner High School East 8 hrs/day, 12 mos/year Mon-Fri 3:00pm-11:00pm Shenendehowa Central School District has an anticipated vacancy and is now accepting applications. The District is seeking culturally proficient individuals who actively foster an engaging environment where students can develop confidence in their own success consistent with the Shenendehowa Profiles. Job Responsibilities Performs routine building cleaning duties of both the interior and exterior of the building. These cleaning duties include: cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms; dusting and polishing chairs, tables, desks and other furniture; sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing and vacuuming floors; painting interior and exterior of building; keeping sidewalks clean in summer, leaf removal in fall and ice and snow removal in winter; receives, moving and storing supplies for building occupants; arranging chairs, tables and other equipment for special use of the building; washing windows, both interior and exterior, walls and woodwork; replacing light bulbs, making minor repairs, operation of floor machinery, snow blowers and other duties, as needed. This person should also possess excellent people skills. Compensation & Benefits Step 1 ($23.59/hr) – Step 5 ($25.53/hr) CSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Certifications/Qualifications Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma (GED) and experience in building cleaning. Good working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to understand and carry out both verbal and written directions. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and administration. Exhibit thoroughness, good judgement, mental alertness, tact and courtesy. Physical condition commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.
