The practice relies on a flexible, on-demand clinical team to staff surgical cases and recovery care as needs arise, and is building a dependable bench of clinicians who want steady, well-supported per-diem work.

Position Summary

The Scrub Nurse works directly at the sterile field, anticipating the surgeon's needs and keeping the case moving safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Pass instruments and supplies, anticipating the surgical team's next steps.
• Perform sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulator.
• Prepare and organize instrumentation before and after each case.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active state RN or Surgical Technologist (CST) credential in good standing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Prior scrub experience in an OR or surgical center required.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, short-notice environment.

Schedule & Logistics

• Shifts are typically posted the evening before, often for an early-morning (around 7:30 AM) start.
• Most shifts run up to 8 hours; some are shorter, targeted evening shifts (5:00 PM 9:00 PM), which are especially welcomed.
• A break is provided before the shift concludes.
• Shift availability varies by day - clinicians who can flex across the week have the best access to open shifts.

Compensation

Competitive, per-shift pay - rate is confirmed at the time each shift is posted and accepted.
