Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist team in Key West, FL working in an outpatient setting where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document care, and promote safe patient handling. Participate in student education and pursue professional development. Maintain compliance with state practice acts and facility policies.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Florida physical therapy license or ability to obtain prior to start of assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience providing outpatient physical therapy services, including evaluations, 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions, goal writing, and development of functional treatment plans.
• Ability to complete timely, accurate documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry in compliance with payer and clinic guidelines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safe patient handling, infection control, and workplace safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in student supervision and support clinical education as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel or contract outpatient PT experience preferred.
• Experience with productivity and quality indicator documentation preferred.
• Professional development plan and continuing education participation preferred.

• Shift pattern: 5x8 schedule.
