Medical Assistant, Cardiology Schedule: Full-time | Day shift Job Type: In-person Job Location: Galax, VA Hourly range: $18.53 - $22.88 p/hr. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments. Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required; A graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent is required. Required Licenses/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within 60 days of hire. The following certifications are required: CCMA, CMA, or RMA.
