Volunteers/Chaperones must be approved by the site and Human Resources prior to being a Volunteer/Chaperone. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Queen Creek Unified School District. Your dedication to volunteering is greatly appreciated. Please look at the steps below to be a volunteer. If you are a parent or legal guardian that wants to volunteer in your own child's classroom or on a day field trip, an online application and fingerprint background check are NOT required, simply contact the school office for volunteer opportunities. If you are a parent or legal guardian participating in an overnight event or if you are a non-parent or non-legal guardian that wants to volunteer or chaperone, you must be approved by the School Site and Human Resources prior to being a Volunteer/Chaperone. Please follow the steps below:
- Apply online at QCUSD District Careers.
- After you submit your application online you must contact the school(s) office where you wish to volunteer and let them know you submitted your application. The school office will send your application to HR for processing. Volunteer applications cannot be processed without approval from the school office.
- Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) fingerprint background check. HR will contact you with instructions and payment codes once your application has been sent by the school. Please allow at least 4-6 weeks for the fingerprint background check to clear.
- Once your background check is cleared, you will receive an email notification that you have been approved to volunteer. The school office will contact you regarding your approval.
Field Trip chaperones must be at least 21 years of age. Volunteers must reapply and complete a fingerprint background check every school year.
