2027 Staff Accountant

Position Summary Novogradac & Company LLP is searching for a Staff Accountant to join a fast‑growing firm. Under close supervision, the Staff Accountant will complete a variety of tax, audit, and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor or Manager. Some positions may be open to remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on business needs. Responsibilities Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed. Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements. Conduct business‑specific research—gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports, and make recommendations to principals and partners. Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or finance. Up to 1 year of experience in public accounting or 1‑3 years in an internal accounting role, or an appropriate balance of education and work experience. Ability to sit for the CPA exam or have passed sections is a plus. Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Accurate, time‑efficient work with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through. Ability to work under close supervision and accept constructive feedback. Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment. Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel, and report‑writing tools. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required and to travel domestically. Compensation & Benefits Base salary $65,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
