Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent. Effective customer service skills and a positive attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a high volume work environment. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff members. Ability to use a computer. Proficient keyboarding skills. Essential Functions: Provide clerical support for the Referral Department Process letter daily to providers and patients. Answer phones for the referral department. Fax or mail medical records to the specialist in a timely manner Input referral information into computer & insurance databases with speed and accuracy. Update patient information in the computer system. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
