Overview Care companions are sought on an as-needed basis. The role supports a stroke recovery situation with care on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, through June 2026. Tasks include general care, medication reminders, and meal preparation, with emphasis on home safety and assistance with activities of daily living. Responsibilities Assist with safety in the home and mobility where needed, including transfers and escort to activities within a senior living facility. Provide reminders for medications and monitoring of basic health needs. Assist with meal planning, preparation, feeding as appropriate, and maintaining nourishment. Support activities of daily living such as bathing and other routine tasks; help with light chores as required. Offer companionship and engagement during care sessions, including related activities as appropriate. Scope and Context We are seeking short-term assistance to support a family member currently in stroke recovery. A dedicated full-time caregiver is present, and the role provides additional support as needed, including mobility assistance for a client who uses a lift chair and transitions to a scooter.
