We could fill this with a bunch of hiring mumbo jumbo yet let's be real. Here is the meat and potatoes of this job. We are a fertilization, weed control, and disease management company. There will be no mowing or weed eating. That is not our focus. This is an outside job. It is cold in the winter and hot in the summer. We have equipment that you will be trained on. If you take care of it the equipment makes life easy. If not, then that leads to a lot of walking and spraying, which is never fun, but leads to outstanding step count totals for fitness apps!

You must possess the ability for adding, subtracting, and multiplication. We are not asking for you to have a Beautiful Mind (Russell Crowe) moment writing equations. Just simple math for mixing chemicals and calibrations of equipment.


Problem solving is critical. We need someone that has the ability to not depend on a phone or their manager to make every decision. If you hit road construction along your route we hope you can find an alternative path. Now if you see something on a property and need assistance that is different. Give your manager a call so we can work together.


Attention to detail is a must and will be quizzed at interviews. We provide check off sheets and notes. Hint, even airline pilots use these and thank God! So, if you tend to glaze over things or just wing it. We would recommend not applying.


If you haven't been scared away by this point, congratulations! You either skipped all the above or read through it. If you have done the latter then please apply. We start at $17 and if you have experience then we can adjust. We prefer people with no experience as it is easier to train new good habits versus retraining bad habits. If you do have experience and feel you can be molded to a little green Lawn Doctor thumb (our mascot) then please proceed.


The hiring process will be daunting. We want you to attach a resume. We check them to see the attention to detail. We require a valid driver's license, and of good moral character. Trust us, we will check and leave no stone unturned. You will be on someone else's property and we want to make sure we are hiring trustworthy individuals. We will probably want to meet you in person. We will check references and past employers. I know and we apologize if this offends anyone. It is sad to say sometimes people lie. We hope you are not one of those, yet we just have to make sure.


When all that is finished we would love to welcome you aboard the team. We provide shirts and hats and sometimes other goodies. Notice we do not provide pants but they are required. We have discovered going pant-less leads to more complaints and scaring of customers. We have paid holidays, paid rain days, and really focus on Monday-Friday from morning to early afternoon. If we have too much weather during the week, a Saturday will come into play along with some commercial property work.


Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
