Accounting, AFS Administration 

Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week 

$65,000-$75,000/Year 

SUMMARY: Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Accounting and Billing Departments for AFS and any other agencies that AFS has a contractual relationship. 

SUPERVISOR: Chief Financial Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops and maintains the monthly accounting close process to generate accurate and timely financial reporting with variance analysis to Board, programs and grant/other funding agencies.

• Ensures monthly reconciliation of all Asset and Liability accounts.

• Responsible for accurate monthly clinical billing process including close of Qualifacts system and posting entries to General Ledger. 

• Provide management with key performance reporting on clinical programs to ensure quality and maximization of collections.

• Prepare and manage program budgets including necessary reporting and invoicing to funding sources managed.

• Prepare and manage program budgets.

• Assist in annual audit completion and preparation of annual Agency budget.

• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to taxing authorities, funding bodies, and other appropriate organizations as required.

• Supervises accounting and billing staff and their duties, as assigned.

• Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience required.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to perform work required with minimal supervision.

• Experience in use of personal computers, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

• Must be bondable.

• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

• Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).  

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). The employee will occasionally be working near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and exposed to a risk of electrical shock while running the copier, printer, other standard equipment and answering the telephone. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
