All Pro Diesel LLC is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to provide reliable onsite maintenance and repair services for customer vehicles and equipment in and around Portland, TN.
Position SummaryAs a Mobile Mechanic, you will diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and complete preventative maintenance while working directly at customer locations. This role requires strong technical skills, dependable judgment, and a customer-focused mindset to deliver safe, high-quality service.
You will work independently in a mobile setting, managing job timelines and documentation while maintaining professional communication with customers and team members. The ideal candidate is skilled in diesel or heavy equipment repair, comfortable troubleshooting, and committed to getting vehicles back to work efficiently and safely.
Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs using systematic troubleshooting methods.
Perform maintenance and repairs onsite, including inspections, parts replacement, and component service.
Complete preventative maintenance tasks to support performance, reliability, and safe operation.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service outcomes.
Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers regarding issues, repair options, and service timelines.
Experience performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on diesel or similar vehicles/equipment.
Ability to diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs safely and correctly.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and standard repair practices.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites reliably within the assigned area.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professionalism onsite.
Experience servicing heavy-duty trucks, fleets, or off-road equipment.
Familiarity with routine maintenance standards and common failure patterns for diesel systems.
Demonstrated attention to safety procedures and willingness to follow shop and onsite protocols.
Experience using diagnostic and measurement tools to support troubleshooting and repair verification.
