Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray examinations for patients across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and trauma settings. The technologist provides safe, high-quality imaging while supporting patient care needs throughout the department and facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic X-ray examinations, including chest, abdomen, spine, head, neck, and extremities.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging while maintaining comfort, safety, and proper radiation protection.
• Perform portable X-ray examinations throughout the facility as needed.
• Support imaging needs for emergency, trauma, inpatient, and outpatient populations, including pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Follow established imaging protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient patient care.
• Participate in call coverage as scheduled, with a 30-minute response-time requirement.

Must-Have Credentials

• Active ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Current Wisconsin radiologic technologist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of relevant radiology experience.

Equipment & Technology

• Imaging Equipment: Fuji, Siemens, and GE
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• PACS: McKesson

Additional Details

• Patient population ranges from neonates, including NICU patients, to adults.
• Experience with fluoroscopy, trauma, general radiography, and operating room imaging is beneficial; travelers typically do not perform OR or fluoroscopy cases.
• May float to portable imaging assignments throughout the facility.
• Orientation includes new-employee orientation and up to one week of unit orientation.
• Scrubs may be any color; denim and camouflage are not permitted.
• Free parking is available in designated employee areas.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.
