Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified RN specializing in Labor and Delivery to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in the Labor and Delivery unit with 15 total beds available, including 7 for Labor and Delivery and 8 for Postpartum.
• Manage care for a diverse patient population including obstetric/neonates, hypertension, and gestational diabetes, following protocols to minimize early deliveries before 36 weeks.
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips and titrate medication drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin per AWHONN guidelines.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including charge nurses, CNAs, and surgical techs, to optimize patient care.
• Support MedSurg and ER units as needed, adapting to changes and floating requirements effectively.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including maintaining a safe and secure unit environment as a locked unit nurse.

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for practice in North Dakota.
• Certifications required: BLS with additional preference for ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.
• Must have skills in interpreting fetal monitoring strips and strong critical thinking abilities.
• Previous experience in traveling nursing assignments is preferred.
• Availability to work every other weekend and holiday with potential for on-call shifts.
• Proficient in using MEDITECH EMR and familiar with the Philips EFM System.
