Traffic Supervisor
The Traffic Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of hourly Traffic Department employees, including dispatch operations, deliveries, and routine transportation functions. This role ensures daily transportation plans are executed efficiently, DMPS is completed nightly with consideration of cube limits and staffing availability, and all drivers remain compliant with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements through accurate and up-to-date qualification files.
This position is full-time and salaried, on-site, with a regular SundayThursday schedule beginning at 10:00 AM.
What You'll Do
- Maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) driver files and compliance records
- Process and maintain driver payroll documentation
- Audit daily logs, hours of service, and on-time deliveries
- Communicate positively and professionally with customers
- Maintain strong driver and employee relations
- Serve as point of contact for after-hours driver communications
- Plan work assignments and allocate equipment to meet transportation and operational goals
- Direct workers in transportation and related services, including loading and unloading materials
- Review orders, production schedules, and shipping/receiving notices to determine work sequences, shipping dates, volumes, and destinations
- Collaborate with customers, supervisors, managers, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve issues
- Dispatch personnel and vehicles in response to emergencies
- Assist with transportation route planning
- Ensure departmental safety, security of people and resources, accident investigations, and loss prevention
- Inspect vehicles, equipment, materials, and facilities to ensure safety and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation
- Active participation in fostering a positive safety culture
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations
- Understanding of Hours of Service requirements
- Familiarity with Hazardous Materials regulations
- Strong employee relations and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to work non-traditional schedules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

$68000-$82000 per year
