Vascular Ultrasound Tech II- Per Diem, Morristown NJ

Job Description Performs comprehensive ultrasound exams, following established protocols to verify, plan, set up, perform, and report examinations. Verifies identity and provides patient education, cooperation and safety during the procedure. Assists in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Completes clerical tasks: records testing information accurately and timely, reports critical results promptly, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicates with physicians, patients and center personnel in a pleasant and informative manner; makes recommendations to supervisor on policies and procedures. Enhances teamwork by showing motivation, responsibility, accountability; engages in problem solving; accepts guidance and mentors others. Maintains work area: cleans patient areas after each use, manages equipment cleaning per Infection Control policies, notifies supervisor of stocking or equipment issues, and oversees lab opening/closing procedures when appropriate. Identifies learning needs, attends in‑services and meetings, maintains records to improve proficiency, and suggests efficient techniques and processes. Job Title: Echo Sonographer II / Vascular Tech II Qualifications Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Proficiency in Echo (Level 1+ Strain & Pedoff, Basic 3D, Stress, echo) and Vascular techniques (Venous Insufficiency, Arterial Duplex, vein mapping, radials). Positive attitude, professional development initiative, and commitment to patient safety. Skills / Activities Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
