Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse Gallatin, Tennessee. The healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join the team on a temporary basis. This role involves providing high-quality care to geriatric, adult, and pediatric (13 and older) patients in a Level III Trauma Center environment, with a focus on orthopedic, post-operative joint, bariatric, trauma, and general surgical care.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor
• Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with potential for 48 hours guaranteed and weekend block scheduling
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, required prior to start. All clinical staff in Tennessee must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date.
• Experience: 1+ year of clinical experience as an RN in a similar setting, or 0+ years if experience is not mandated
• Unit Information:
  • Bed count: 23 beds
  • Patient ratio: 4-6:1
  • EHR system: Meditech
  • Supervisor: Suzanna Jones
  • Patient population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 and older)
• Responsibilities: Providing compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients undergoing post-operative joint surgeries, bariatric procedures, trauma cases, and general medical-surgical needs
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation is weekly, on Mondays
  • Candidates must be at least 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignments
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, possess good assessment skills, and be willing to ask questions for clarity
  • Dress code is scrubs in any color, with an acceptable T-shirt bearing the hospital logo; acrylic nails are not permitted
  • This position is a replacement of permanent staff and involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs.
