The Maintenance & Shopkeep position will consist of the following duties/assignments:
- Assist in the maintenance/repair of shop equipment such as compressors, tools, ladders, airlines, forklifts, vehicles, and lifts.
- Schedule, Track, and Perform routine maintenance inspections and services on shop equipment/vehicles
- Facilities maintenance and repairs
- Simple plumbing, landscape, electrical, and fabrication duties.
- Housekeeping (sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash)
- Disposal of scrap metal and borings
- Marking and identifying raw materials
- Organizing materials and supplies
- Requesting repair parts, cleaning supplies, or tools
- Running a magnet over parking lot to pick up nails
- Organizing and segregating shipping pallets, disposing of broken pallets
- Transport raw materials from one place to another
- Assemble materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Assist in moving product around warehouse
- Assist in lifting, carrying and moving heavy loads as required
- Assist in oil recycling campaign
- Assist Operations Management as requested
- Other duties to be assigned as needed
- Prior experience in a maintenance setting preferred but not required
- Familiar with production equipment and machinery preferable
- Sharp attention to detail in favor of identifying defects
- Self-driven and hard worker
- Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Flexible to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
- Able to stand for long hours at a time
- Able to withstand hot temperatures in the production room
- Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 75 lbs, 150 pounds in a team-lift.
- Must maintain a safe work manner at all times.
