Job Title
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Education
Minimum: Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.
Preferred: BSN
License
Minimum: Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
Professional Certifications
Preferred: Certification in MDS and PRI
Minimum: BLS through RQI upon hire.
Work Experience
Minimum: Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement. Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process. MDS, and care planning experience.
Skills
Minimum: Demonstrated leadership abilities. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Computer literacy.
Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning software.
