Role Description This full-time, on-site Bus Driver role is based in Pomona, CA. The Bus Driver operates company buses safely and on schedule, following assigned routes and timetables while complying with all traffic laws and company policies. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues. The role involves assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, providing courteous customer service, and supporting riders with accessibility needs as required. Bus Drivers also complete required logs, incident reports, and training updates, contributing to a safe and reliable passenger experience.
Qualifications

• Strong vehicle operation skills, including Bus and Truck Driving, with a focus on safe, compliant road practices.
• Demonstrated Defensive Driving skills and the ability to respond calmly to unexpected traffic and weather conditions.
• Experience with Driver Training concepts or willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
• Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsements, and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local traffic regulations and safety standards; prior public transit or paratransit experience is an asset.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, assist passengers, and perform vehicle inspections.
