This is primarily an in-office position based in Santa Barbara, California. Hybrid schedule may be considered after training.

A/P & Vendor Responsibilities:

·         Process accounts payable (AP) transactions and vendor setup

·         3-way match of packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders

·         Coordinate invoice approvals in accordance with company procedures

·         Support purchasing by completing vendor credit applications

·         Interact with vendors and resolve discrepancies/issues

·         Request/review vendor Form W-9s

·         Assist with monthly sales and use tax reporting

·         Assist in year-end Form 1099 processing

Payroll & HR Responsibilities:

·         Process biweekly payroll in coordination with the company’s external payroll provider

·         Provide administrative HR support including onboarding documentation, employee records maintenance, and coordination with benefits/payroll providers

General Accounting Responsibilities:

·         Reconcile general ledger accounts

·         Enter transactions for company credit cards

·         Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures

·         Provide occasional support for customer billing and invoicing

·         Prepare reports and maintain spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel

·         Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

·         Support employee expense reimbursements

·         Support external audits and financial reviews

·         Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies

·         Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

·         Provide ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and other accounting projects

·         Reports to the Controller

Qualifications:

·         2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

·         Experience with QuickBooks Online and integrated inventory/manufacturing systems preferred

·         Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

·         High attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills

·         Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

·         Experience with a MRP system a plus

·         US work authorization (required)

Job Type:

Full time position, flexible scheduling available. Hourly pay, rate commensurate with experience.
